Micro needling is the process of puncturing the skin with nano needles and serums.

The needling process stimulates cell mitosis, collagen production, breaks up pigmentation and scar tissue, and will result in tighter, brighter more youthful looking skin. The serums can infuse more deeply through the channels created by the needles and the blood is left to mask the surface of the skin. This is a milder version of a popular facial treatment typically called "PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facials. The only difference is a PRP facial would usually be concentrated plasma separated from the red blood cells. Protein in blood have grown factors that will also work to stimulate collagen, cell renewal and growth and tissue regeneration.

A series of 3 sessions 2-4 weeks apart is recommended for best results. Maintenance can be anywhere from every 3-6 months.

Micro-needling can reset the skin if unbalanced. This makes it a great option for someone struggling with acne and acne scarring. It must only be done when there are no pustules on the skin.
